Summer Running Clinic 2026
The Summer Running Clinic is designed to provide middle and high school age athletes (grades 6 –12) with structured training, skill development, and conditioning during the off-season. The program focuses on building strength, endurance, speed, and technique in a fun and supportive environment. It will complement existing school athletic programs by keeping athletes active, improving performance, and reducing risk of injury once the competitive season begins.
6 week program July 7 - Aug 13 (2 days per week)
*Tuesdays: 5:30pm-7:00 pm at Minnechaug Regional High School
*Thursdays: 5:30pm-7:00 pm at Minnechaug Regional High School
The program is taught by veteran Head Coach: John Enos, Certified USA Track & Field (USATF) Developmental Coach, United Endurance Sports Coaching Academy (UESCA) Running Coach & Endurance Sports Nutrition Coach
Goals of the Program
- Provide structured off-season training opportunities for cross country and track athletes.
- Build strength, endurance, and speed through age-appropriate workouts.
- Develop proper running form, pacing skills, and efficient movement mechanics.
- Introduce mobility, flexibility, and injury-prevention exercises.
- Encourage teamwork, confidence, and enjoyment of running as a lifelong activity
