FUN HAPPENS AT SPEC... Celebrating summer fun for kids for over 35 years! 
Spec Day camp is committed to children. Campers will find a summer full of age-appropriate games, art, sports, swimming, nature, camp crafts, field trips and so much more!
--Camp is based at the Spec Pond Pavilion at the Spec Pond Recreational Complex on Boston Road in Wilbraham.
--Spec Day Camp is open to residents (1st week of registrations) and non-residents (if space remains).
--Camp complies with the regulations of the MA Dept. of Public Health and is licensed by the Wilbraham Board of Health.
--Staff is carefully chosen and trained to provide campers with a safe, friendly and caring environment.
Each week has an exciting theme and many activities revolving around the weekly theme with an in house guest and travel field trip. Spec Camp begins July 6th and runs for six weeks. You may register for one, some, or all of the exciting weeks!
Parent Pack, Registration Forms, and the Massachusetts Health Form are available below. Doctor office printouts for camp are also accepted.
REGISTRATION IS IN PERSON AT MEMORIAL SCHOOL STARTING ON WEDNESDAY, MARCH 4TH FOR WILBRAHAM RESIDENTS FROM 3-5 PM AND AFTER MARCH 4TH AT THE REC OFFICE.
NON-WILBRAHAM RESIDENTS CAN REGISTER AT WPRD OFFICE BEGINNING MARCH 11TH.
*NOTE: Registration fills up quickly. All necessary forms and at least 50% payment are required the day of registration.
Registration
- Sessions are filled on a first-come basis.
- The standard refund policy will be followed for all registrations (see 2026 Spec Day Camp Parent Pack).
- The required health form(s) must be received AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION. Please plan your camp physicals accordingly. Doctor's office printouts of health forms are accepted.
- You must download and read the Parent Pack before your child participates (below under Additional Forms and Files).
- *PLEASE NOTE: Registration for Spec Day Camp is IN PERSON ONLY at the Memorial School starting Wednesday, March 4th from 3-5 PM for Wilbraham residents. Registration after March 4th will be at WPRD Office.
Weekly Sessions/Themes
Session 1: July 6 - 10: Aloha Summer (Field Trip to InterSkate 91)
Hello Summer! This week campers will enjoy all things summer including Hawaiian themed games, songs, crafts, scavenger hunts, and more.
Session 2: July 13 - 17: Shark Tank Week (Field Trip to Shaker Bowl)
Do you have any future inventors? This week is just for them! Campers will flex their entrepreneur muscles as they brainstorm ideas to pitch at a Shark Tank-style pitch meeting at the end of the week. Campers will engage in STEM activities, crafts, games, and sports fun too.
Session 3: July 20 - 24: Adventure Week (Field Trip TBA)
Calling all adventurous campers! This week campers will learn navigation skills, go on scavenger hunts, play games, make camping themed crafts, and experience animals from Expedition Reptile.
Session 4: July 27 - 31: Escape the Day (Field Trip to FunZ)
Puzzles, riddles, and brain-benders oh my! This week campers will engage in problem solving skills to solve puzzles, challenges, games and experience an epic camp escape room.
Session 5: August 3 - 7: Olympic Games Week (Field Trip to InterSkate 91)
Who doesn't love the Olympics! This week campers will design a country for their group and participate in Olympic style games culminating in an awards ceremony.
Session 6: August 10 - 14: Water Palooza (Inflatables and Water Slide at Spec)
To finish out the summer, we spend this week playing camper and staff favorite water games ending with a bounce house and obstacle course day.
Fees
- Each week of camp is $175 Residents / $200 Non-residents
- Extended AM Care (7:30-9:00 AM) is $35 per week.
- Extended PM Care (3:30-5:00 PM) is $35 per week.
- 50% Deposit is required at the time of registration. Check is the preferred payment method.
- Remaining balance is due by Friday, June 5th.
