2024 Cross Country - Grades 4-8

Join the fun as we head into our fifth year of cross country. Get out and enjoy an awesome introduction to the most scenic running sport.
Cross country is a sport in which teams and individuals run a race on outdoor courses over natural terrain such as dirt or grass. It's also a great way to stay in shape and develop good fitness habits.
*Thursdays: 5:30pm-7:00 pm at Minnechaug Regional High School
*Saturdays: 9am-10:30am at Minnechaug Regional High School
*Meeting times could change based on coaches availability*
Program will run September 12 through October 19 (No program on October 12)
Participants will be introduced to the sport of cross country and will train to run distances of up to 5K, depending on their age. There will be a strong emphasis on physical fitness and improving on their best individual times. Practices will be held weekly, on Thursday afternoons and Saturday mornings at Minnechaug Regional High School.
